Give As You Earn

People enjoy helping other people, especially if this can be done on their behalf. In 2008 we achieved silver status in 'Give As You Earn', which means more than 1,000 Northern Foods employees are voluntarily donating to their chosen charity through the pay scheme.

By donating through the pay scheme we are able to increase their donations by at least 20%, courtesy of the Treasury. In 2009, we are refocusing our efforts and the aim is to increase the number of people in the scheme by 500.
