Holland's Pies

With a heritage of baking pies and savoury pastries that stretches back over 150 years, it’s no wonder that Holland’s is the best known name for pie-making in Lancashire.

Holland’s Pies has a strong presence in the North West and we make over 80 million pies, pasties and puddings from our site in Baxenden, Lancashire where we employ around 450 employees.   

Part of the Frozen division at Northern Foods, Holland’s Pies makes a range of frozen and chilled pies, pasties and puddings.

Our products are sold in all major supermarkets, most fish and chip shops and a wide spread of foodservice outlets, such as football grounds, across the North West of England. 

Holland’s is the leading pie brand in Lancashire, with a 60%+ share of the market in the north west of England.

 

Proper pies

More people are turning to proper, uncomplicated British food these days and that’s something we know all about.  Consumers want the comfort of familiar dishes, of course. But they want dishes that are quicker and lighter, to fit in with busy lives and healthier diets.

Holland’s Pies are proper pies.  Convenient and unfussy, our pies are traditional with a modern twist.  Our chunky fillings are cooked in their own gravy to a special recipe to give them a flavour unique to Holland’s.  Our pastry is light – we use less fat in our hot water pastry, and our short crust pastry is guaranteed stodge-free.  We’ve also removed HVOs from all our pies. 

With next to no crumbs our pastry is perfect for eating on the go.  What’s more we’ve got some great tasting varieties to choose from.  For example, our savoury ready-to-eat pastry snacks, include some exciting ideas like the Cumberland Sausage Roll, Steak and Onion Slice and Chicken Balti Slice.
