Northern Foods has a leading reputation for food safety and has been integral in helping to shape many of today’s national and global food industry standards.

The safety of the food we produce is critical to our governance process and our central laboratory services and site technical audit processes remain accredited by the UK Accreditation Service to the highest international standards. In fact, the standards we deliver mean that we are the only UK and Irish food producers with sufficient accreditation to be entirely self-governing in site certification matters.

The company has also maintained its ongoing commitment to its Farm Assurance Code of Practice, first published in 1999. This code, which is updated regularly reflects our high standards for animal welfare and minimises our reliance on agricultural and veterinary chemicals.
