Donegal Catch

When Donegal Catch launched its first foil bag range of frozen fish in Ireland in 1988, we were seen by many as being ahead of our time.

It’s a reputation that’s gained in strength as we continue to provide people with convenient, trustworthy and tasty ways to eat the most natural source of protein. The Donegal Catch brand, available across Ireland, produces a range of frozen fish meals, from natural fillets and battered fish, to scampi and white fish coated with seasoned crumbs.   We are market leaders in the Irish Frozen Fish market.

We grade, fillet and freeze our fish at Gurteen, Co. Sligo where we employ 85 employees. All coating of fish takes place at our Dalepak site in the UK.

A natural source of protein

With more and more people wanting to eat healthy food, fish is a natural choice. That’s borne out by the market, which is growing year on year.

Our Atlantic Caught Freshly Frozen range including Breaded Cod and Haddock and Scampi remain firm favourites. The Donegal Catch Trawler Fresh guarantee means people know they’re buying fish caught in the deep Atlantic Ocean which is fast frozen to capture its natural taste and goodness.

But a growing number of consumers want different ways to eat fish. Some want to experiment with new flavours, the more health conscious want fish without any coating and others want to eat a wider variety of fish dishes but lack the know-how.

Catering for every taste

We cater for every taste, whether it’s Cod with a Sea Salt and Black Pepper Crumb, our Natural Fish range of cod, haddock and salmon or our Mini Fillets. These prime fillets of Atlantic Whiting and Cod come with a variety of seasonings and dips, such as Spicy Cod with Sour Cream and Lightly Seasoned Whiting with Garlic and Herb. Ready in just 15 minutes, Mini Fillets are perfect for a light lunch or evening snack and are a great introduction to fish.
