Developing leading edge people

Northern Foods is proud of its reputation for developing people with a real passion for success. This was demonstrated at a national level when our frozen division category development manager James Howes won the coveted IGD Leading Edge Member of the Year 2006 Award.

Leading Edge is IGD’s development and networking forum for young grocery and food industry managers. It aims to stretch minds, offer new perspectives and provide a platform to explore industry issues among peers.

To win the award James wrote an essay on the keys to a successful career, and after being selected as one of the top 5 in the country, James had to present his thoughts to a panel of judges from the IGD and the Grocer magazine.

James was awarded the IGD Leading Edge Member of the Year 2006 Award at the annual Leading Edge Convention in September.
