Board change

Howard Sims, executive director, will retire from the board of Northern Foods plc (‘Northern’) on 30 June 2004.
Howard Sims joined Northern in 1998 through the acquisition of Cavaghan & Gray Group plc, of which he was chief executive, and was appointed to the Northern board in January 2003. He had worked for Cavaghan & Gray since 1971.
Northern Chairman Peter Blackburn said: ‘Howard has played a truly outstanding role in building the Cavaghan & Gray business over more than 30 years, particularly in developing the partnership with Marks & Spencer. We are grateful for his contribution to Northern over the last six years and wish him well for the future.’
